this picture maked me so so happy u guys dont even know i'm getting all emotional writing this like. not to get weird about real living people but it makes me so happy that he loved doctor who so much & then got to play the doctor & did such a brilliant job of it & his seasons & character were so well written & you can tell he loved doing it. there's just so much love there

like idk it's fairly common knowledge now that when he was a kid & teenager he was Obsessed with doctor who to the point of writing so many letters to the people involved he ended up being friends with a lot of the actors which is just so sweet hehe :]. i think he's about seventeen in the above picture (originally published in like a little newspaper or something i should find the whole article. for archival purposes.) & colourized here idk if it was originally in colour or not probably not right?

twelve also has some of the best written, most heart-wrenching episodes of the entire series, Heaven Sent / Hell Bent (s9e11/12), he Husbands of River Song (s9e13) World Enough & Time / The Doctor Falls (s10e11/12) - all of which are just AUGHH. Heaven Sent in particular, because twelve is essentially the only character, spends most of the episode alone, and honestly? i think twelve is one of the few doctors, and peter capaldi one of the few dw actors, who would have been able to pull it off. it's such a beautiful & sensitive & subtle performance. truly episode ever. and world enough & time the doctor falls.............. no one is doing it like the end of season 10......

twelve's seasons are about devotion, i think.

mr wakefeilds crusade 1992

this show gave me the fright of the decade i can tell you that. luke wakefeild, at the start of the series (only three eps) is kinda a prick but he obviously has some stuff going on, gets increasing bizzare and then turns out to actually be . ahem. a homosexual. THIS THING WAS MADE IN LIKE THE 90S I WAS SO WORRIED IT WAS GOING TO BE HOMOPHOBIC BUT NO. THEY REALLY WERE FLIRTING. THEY WERE MATCHING EACH OTHERS FREAK TO PREVIOUSLY UNHEARD OF LEVELS. LIKE IT MADE SENSE IN RETROSPECT BUT HOLYYYYYYY SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT i have been thinking about this show for over a month since i watched it & i was having An Experience watching it.

its about this rich & socially inept guy (shows open with him telling you he's a failure) who finds the unsent letters of a dead man, steals & reads his mail & discovers that this guy had just confessed to murdering his wife. luke wakefeild decided he's going to solve this murder himself b/c why not and gets entangled in this own thing. he'd be pretty annoying in real life but as a character he was endearing after a while hehe.

the lair of the white worm 1986

this is the worst movie ever and i love it. its completely unreccomendable, incredibly bad, hilarious quite possibly without intending to be, egregiously sexual, it sucks and there are parts that make me genuinely uncomfortable however it is also really good. it's aged so badly and theres an insane tone shift like half an hour in and there just so much going on in there. pcap plays angus flint, who they really seem to have just stuck a bunch of random scottish stereotypes to, & then theres the LIKE SOLIDLY TWO MINUTE LONG BAGPIPES MURDER SNAKE CULTESS CHARMING SCENE. and then he pulls a live mongoose & a live grenade out of his kilt. like what the fuck guys. he also eats worms. he's the peak of gender. his first line is WAAHOOOOOOO. i thought i maybe sensed somehomoeroticism between him & james but idk. like it wouldnt surprise me at this point.

the crow road 1992

okay i will admit i was genuinely sad about this one. really touching & beautiful show. on youtube & also dailymotion (dailymotion in better quality tbh). 90s scottish television save me.......... peter plays rory, the protagonists uncle who disspeared seven years prior, who appears in flashbacks, memories, & in prentice's head in imagined conversations. the bits where he shows up in his thoughts were quite funny i though hehe i really liked when he walks in the side of drame to ask indignantly 'did you just shag my girlfriend?' lol. & his long hair is quite funny like wow. it sure is the 90s. i really liked this show & i think i would have liked it if i'd found it for other reasons too. i Really liked ashley as well she's iconic.

the love child 1987

really quite a sweet film i felt so bad for him & wanted to crush him with my hands only a little bit. like he just needed a hug so badly & you Know he had not kissed a girl prior to this. bernadette was awesome though hehe i liked her. i really loved when she puts the liz taylor cleopatra makeup on him & he rides the train to work looking so happy & then gets scared & washes it off in the bathroom like. yeah. & when he's snarky about wearing nail polish. crossdressing would have saved her. i LOVEDDDD the hippe band parents as well like yesssss listen to that mediocre 60s psych albummmmmmmmmmm

john & yoko: a love story 1985

okay so one thing about me is when i was like twelve & thirteen i was really into the beatles & i know A Lot about them. & so when i doscoverd that peter capaldi had played george harrison in a film i was so hyped & also filled with a deep existential dread. to be completely honest? the casting & costuming were the best parts of this film. like the casting (except for whoever played paul sorry lol) was really really good (including mark mcgann, paul mcgann's (eight doctor) brother, as john, proving you really cant make a movie in britain without being at least two degrees from doctor who), the costuming was amazing, peter has a funny little moustache but lowkey, he looks like george. & they gave him a guitar :). a shame then, that he is only in the film for like FOUR MINUTES. IN A TWO AND A HLAF HOUR MOVIE. not to mention that like nothing happens they just run through every John Lennon Yoko Ono Life Moment one after the other with very few connecting threads for two & a half hours. & like they made this???? less than five years???? after john was murdered??????? the sheer nerve??????? anyways i can picture peter being a george girl. if only this was better written like. no amount of acting skill could have saved some of that dialouge im so sorry.
