trick corridor is like.... faeries. and hidden rooms in haunted houses.you think you're walking somewhere & you're not. or you're going somewhere else completey. the house is taking you somewhere. you dont notice the doorway 'til you've already passed through it. a lychgate, a cemetry gate is a sort of trick corridor if you think about it b/c you think you're still in the land of the living but no one ever passes through a graveyard with out thinking of the dead.
